Versatile Summer Classics From Charles David

We had kind of forgotten about Charles David, maybe because our local store is at the Beverly Center which we avoid whenever possible and maybe because we associate it with buying shoes for prom which doesn’t exactly lure us in. But on a recent stroll though the Beverly Center we passed by Charles David and stopped in just in case there were some standout neutral sandals for summer we’d been missing. With wedding season on the horizon we realized our summer shoe wardrobe could use an update. We were quite pleased with what we found at Charles David, particularly because on the day we happened by everything was 30% off. Lovely.

We picked up two pairs that go with pretty much everything. A wedge for those summer occasions with tricky terrain – grass, sand etc and a classic heel that is remarkably comfortable – we’ve been skipping around in them all day today. Our picks – the Clemson wedge and Gratuity sandal work well with both dresses and pants and would look great with a crisp pair of shorts. While we love a flat sandal for easy summer days, a heel is sometimes the best accessory for tan legs. We like these Charles David styles so much because they look polished but not too dressy for day. Simple outfits look a little fresher and in the versatile nude shades they are also perfect for pairing with a flash of neon (we love nude with pink) or busy floral print.
